Businesses and institutions can reduce their water use and lower their utility costs by adopting conservation practices and replacing inefficient equipment or operations.
Check for leaks. Use a broom, instead of a hose, for routine cleaning tasks. Rebates are available for Water brooms. Quick tips: ▪ Start by reading your meter - Water meters generally are located near the front of your property. Read and record meter readings after hours when no water is being used. If meter changes when no water is being used this may be an indication of a leak. ▪ Look for evidence of leaks - faucets, fixtures, hoses and plumbing in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and appliances and at all outside plumbing and irrigation.

▪ Check equipment - Worn, old or poorly maintained equipment can waste significant amounts of water
